Founder Prof. Genuit has been awarded the Helmholtz Medal
The German Acoustical Society (DEGA) annually awards the Helmholtz Medal for outstanding lifetime achievement in the field of acoustics during its DAGA conference.
At DAGA 2025 in Copenhagen, the founder of HEAD acoustics GmbH and the HEAD-Genuit Foundation, Prof. Dr.-Ing. Klaus Genuit, was honored for his outstanding achievements in psychoacoustics, vehicle acoustics, and the successful transfer between science and practical application.
Klaus Genuit played a key role in DEGA for many years, particularly as a board member (1996–2004) and treasurer (2010–2019).
With the Helmholtz Medal, DEGA honors Prof. Klaus Genuit as a versatile acoustician who has dedicated decades to strengthening the field of acoustics and has succeeded in translating scientific innovations into commercial applications.
The HEAD-Genuit Foundation warmly congratulates Klaus Genuit on this well-deserved award for his life’s work, which continues to promote science and research, public health, and the further development of noise impact and soundscape research.
